Abstract:
This paper explores the critical role of mental resilience in enhancing athletic performance and facilitating recovery from sports injuries. It examines the relationship between mental toughness and competitive success, discusses effective psychological interventions, and addresses the impact of resilience on injury recovery, including the challenge of Kinesio phobia. The study also investigates the role of coaches and support systems in building mental resilience, compares resilience across different sports and athletic levels, and explores future directions in sports psychology, including the use of virtual reality and neuroscience-based approaches. Through a comprehensive review of current research and case studies, this paper provides insights into best practices for resilience training programs and highlights the importance of mental resilience in achieving and maintaining peak athletic performance.
