Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic introduced unprecedented challenges for students worldwide, with significant implications for mental health. In India, where academic pressure, competition, and social dynamics in schools were already major stressors, the transition back to physical schooling post-pandemic has added new layers of mental health concerns. This paper investigates the impact of school environments on students' mental health in India after the pandemic, focusing on academic pressures, social integration, and the availability of mental health resources. Using a mixed methods approach, this research highlights the factors influencing students' mental health and provides actionable recommendations for creating healthier school environments.
