Abstract:

Academic dishonesty, a pervasive issue in higher education, compromises the integrity of the academic process and undermines the value of educational credentials. This paper delves into the various forms of academic dishonesty, such as plagiarism, cheating, and fabrication, and explores the factors that contribute to its prevalence. It examines the detrimental impact of academic dishonesty on individual students, institutions, and society as a whole. Furthermore, the paper discusses strategies for preventing academic dishonesty, including clear academic integrity policies, effective pedagogy, and the use of technology. By understanding the root causes and consequences of academic dishonesty, institutions can implement effective measures to promote academic integrity and ensure the quality of education.
