Abstract

The origin of low energy single Plasmon satellites of Cr and its compounds CrCl2, Cr2O3, CrO3, Cr2(SO4)3, K2Cr2O4 and K2Cr2O7 have been explained using Plasmon theory with new formulation of relative intensity by considering relative interference between intrinsic and extrinsic effects. The interference ‘Plasmon-coupling’ have been obtained theoretically in terms of non-diagram line to diagram X-ray line for the satellite profiles in the X-ray photoemission spectra. It is found that our results with new intensity formulation are in better agreement with experimental results.

Keywords
