Project Management and Organisational Transformation in Delhi NCR Construction Firms

Abstract
The construction industry is critical to India's development as it makes a substantial contribution to capital formation and employment generation. Within this industry, one needs to consider the special significance of the Delhi NCR region, which occupies a key place in terms of economics and administration. Construction businesses in this region are faced with a challenging environment characterized by frequent changes in regulations, high level of competition, and peculiarities of labour relations. This paper considers the impact of project management practices on organizational structure, corporate culture, and performance of construction businesses in the Delhi NCR region. It posits that the essence of project management goes beyond a mere process to become a strategic tool of decision-making and efficient organizational operation. The research identifies several factors characterizing construction companies implementing project management systems and their positive influence on performance of these organizations.
