Abstract

In contemporary corporate environments, digital transformation has emerged as a critical driver of sustainability. In Kerala, women business executives are increasingly utilising digital technologies to improve operational efficiency and promote environmentally and economically sustainable practices. The objective of this investigation is to identify and evaluate the digital tools and strategies that women business leaders in Kerala have implemented to promote sustainable operations. The research investigates the incorporation of cloud-based systems, social media, online platforms, e-commerce solutions, digital marketing tools, and data analytics to facilitate resource optimisation, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Friedman's ranking test and descriptive statistical methods were applied as analytical methodologies. The study contributes to the expanding discourse on sustainable entrepreneurship and gender-inclusive economic development by offering a contextual comprehension of the digital-sustainability linkages within women-led enterprises in Kerala. The data unambiguously demonstrate that specific tools, particularly those associated with energy efficiency and e-commerce, are more prominently adopted and appreciated for their sustainability-related benefits, while others, such as cloud computing and social media, play a relatively minor role. In conclusion, the research emphasises the importance of digital empowerment in the promotion of long-term economic viability and environmental responsibility in women-led enterprises.
