Abstract

This paper examines the manifestation of leftist ideology in the poetry of W. E. B. Du Bois explores how his socialist principles, anti-capitalist critique, and commitment to social justice permeate his poetic work. Through close analysis of selected poems, this study demonstrates how Du Bois employed poetry as a vehicle for revolutionary thought, economic critique, and the articulation of Pan-African solidarity. The paper argues that Du Bois's poetry represents a significant intersection of aesthetic expression and political radicalism, positioning him as a poet-activist whose work challenges both racial oppression and economic exploitation.
