Abstract:

This article analyses the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (which stands for Quality Education) and the National Education Policy in India. The United Nations initiated the targets for sustainable development in 2015, by the 2030 Roadmap. The fourth Sustainable Development Goal concerns quality education. The New Education Policy 2020 replaces the New Education Policy 1986, as announced by the Union Cabinet of India on July 29, 2020. The National Education Policy 2020 aims to reform the educational framework in India. This paper provides an overview of the National Education Policy in India. This presentation provides a comprehensive analysis of the Sustainable Development Goals and NEP 2020. The results will provide crucial insights for policymakers, educators, and other stakeholders to improve the alignment of educational policies with constitutional values and promote a more equal and inclusive education system in India.
