In social sciences, understanding human subjectivity has always presented a complex challenge. Traditional quantitative methods often struggle to capture individuals' nuanced perspectives, opinions, and attitudes. This article explores the application and significance of Q-methodology as a powerful methodology for understanding varied human viewpoints. It explains Q-methodology as a powerful methodology and examines the inherent value and potential challenges when using Q-methodology, based on findings from a study conducted titled, "A Framework for Employee Retention in Sub-Saharan Africa: Drawing Lessons from Selected Namibian Government Ministries and Public Enterprises." The present article, therefore, aims to illustrate how Q-methodology enriches research attempts by capturing the interplay of subjectivity and data and examining the benefits and drawbacks of its application in the analysis of employee retention dynamics. The inherent advantages and potential disadvantages of using Q-methodology are uncovered. By highlighting its value, this article exhibits how Q-methodology can complement traditional methods and enhance decision-making in complex organisational contexts.
