Abstract
The digital age has reshaped English Language Teaching (ELT) by transforming traditional pedagogical approaches and introducing new forms of multimodal learning. Technology has made language instruction more interactive, personalised, and accessible, enabling teachers and learners to explore innovative methods beyond the boundaries of the conventional classroom. This paper examines how digital tools influence the teaching and learning of English, analyses their pedagogical benefits, identifies existing challenges, and discusses future directions for integrating technology in ELT. It highlights that technology enhances learner motivation, supports differentiated learning, and provides exposure to authentic language use. However, successful integration requires teacher training, infrastructural support, and balanced pedagogical planning. The paper concludes that the digital age offers unparalleled opportunities for enriching ELT, but meaningful outcomes depend on purposeful, well-designed implementation.
