Abstract
This study aims to investigate how hockey players' physical fitness is affected by their economic status. Access to resources that are essential for athletic development, such as training facilities, nutritional support, and coaching, can be significantly impacted by economic conditions. This study looks at both the grassroots and elite levels of hockey to see how players' physical fitness levels are affected by different economic backgrounds. The study employs a mixed-methods approach that combines qualitative assessments of players' socioeconomic backgrounds with quantitative analysis of fitness metrics. Strength, endurance, agility, and overall conditioning are important physical fitness indicators that are measured and compared across various economic strata. Additionally, players' training opportunities, access to professional support, and overall athletic performance are analyzed through surveys and interviews. According to preliminary findings, players from more affluent families typically have better access to advanced training resources and nutritional guidance, which correlates with higher physical fitness levels. On the other hand, players from lower socioeconomic backgrounds frequently encounter limitations that affect their fitness and performance. The study emphasizes the need for targeted interventions to level the playing field and prevent talent development in hockey from being hindered by economic disparities. This study makes policy recommendations for enhancing players' access to resources and support from all economic backgrounds and emphasizes the significance of addressing economic disparities in sports. The study aims to contribute to a more equitable and competitive hockey environment by identifying and addressing these disparities.
